Data Deletion Instructions
Last updated: May 18, 2026
talkady is a multi-tenant platform. For data exchanged through a business’s connected WhatsApp number, that business is the data controller and talkady is its data processor. This page explains how data is deleted and how to request deletion.
End Users (people who messaged a business on WhatsApp)
If you contacted a business that uses talkady and want your data deleted, you may either (a) ask that business directly, or (b) email privacy@talkady.com with the WhatsApp phone number you messaged from and the name of the business. We verify the request and, acting on the business’s instruction, delete the associated conversation data — message content, media, phone number, profile name, and any AI memory derived from it — within 30 days.
Customers (businesses)
A Customer can delete data at any time:
- Disconnect a WhatsApp number in the dashboard — the stored access token for that number is removed immediately.
- Delete a conversation or account from the dashboard removes its stored messages and media.
- Close the workspace — email privacy@talkady.com from the workspace admin address. We permanently delete the tenant and all associated WhatsApp accounts, messages, media, tokens, AI memory, and CRM data within 30 days, excluding minimal records we are legally required to retain.
What is deleted
Inbound/outbound message content and metadata, media files, End-User phone numbers and profile names, per-customer AI memory summaries, lead/CRM records, and encrypted WhatsApp access tokens for the affected scope.
